Why Bake with Spring Fruits?

Spring fruits are naturally sweet, refreshingly tart, and full of antioxidants. They also bring visual appeal to desserts—think ruby-red strawberries, blushing rhubarb, and sunny yellow lemons. Baking with seasonal produce also means peak freshness and flavour.

From zesty muffins to comforting fruit pies, here are our favourite spring fruit dessert recipes using ingredients available at Gertrude Grocer.

  • Plain flour

  • Baking powder

  • Poppy seeds

  • Free-range eggs

  • Greek-style yogurt
